Road Access

The access road (most of which has been maintained solely by the BTSC) leaves Highway 99, 12 km below the chalet area. The road traverses 6,000 vertical feet in that distance. >>See Maps<<

Helicopter Access

The Chalet is a 6 to 8 minute flight from the Squamish Airport. Up to three helicopter landing pads can be established in the Chalet area to provide rapid aerial access.

Due to the dramatic weather conditions that can change very quickly, it is always recommended to keep a ground-based transport contingency plan in place since the helicopters often cannot fly in inclement conditions.
